Job Opportunity: Orthopedic Surgeon (Remote)
Position Overview
Dane Street, a leading Independent Review Organization (IRO) and national provider of Utilization Review (UR) services, is expanding its physician panel. We are seeking Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeons with an active Texas medical license to perform independent medical reviews on a flexible, remote (telework) basis. This is a non-clinical, contract opportunity (1099) ideal for physicians interested in supplemental income and non-traditional work, while continuing their active clinical practice.
Position Details

Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical necessity determinations on treatment requests.
- Review appealed cases and render objective, evidence-based opinions.
- No direct patient care or treatment involved – this is an advisory-only role.
- Complete all reviews using Dane Street’s secure and user-friendly online portal.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Texas Medical License.
- Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Active clinical practice.
- Strong written communication and analytical skills.
