Requirements

Highly specialized and seasoned expertise in personnel security, particularly for DoD Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Programs (SAP)
Deep, hands-on expertise in security systems including DISS/NBIS, NISS, Scattered Castles, JADE, and SMIP
Expert knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), Security Executive Agent Directives (SEADs), and DoD directives
Ability to serve as authoritative resource for USSF Special Security Office (SSO), providing guidance to command personnel, security managers, and employees
Strong judgment for clearance and access determinations based on eligibility, need-to-know, and suitability

Responsibilities

Serve as SME for security systems (DISS/NBIS, NISS, Scattered Castles); act as primary administrator, troubleshooter, and trainer
Oversee and standardize nomination process for SCI and SAP access; review, process, and QA-check clearance documentation
Provide recommendations to grant, deny, or revoke SCI access
Manage initiation, tracking, and execution of clearance actions (initial applications, PRs, transfers); coordinate with agencies like DCSA
Process and validate Visit Authorization Requests (VARs)
Monitor and manage Continuous Evaluation (CE) Alerts; conduct assessments, coordinate findings, and recommend/execute actions
Ensure timely reporting of adverse information, violations, and derogatory info to government security offices
Serve as final review authority for Foreign Contact & Foreign Travel (RMT) documentation per SEAD 4
Provide regulatory oversight, compliance, training, and program administration (incomplete in description)
