Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records of parts inventory, including quantities, locations, and usage
Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies and ensure stock levels meet operational needs
Utilize inventory management software (SAP) or tools to track movement and update inventory status
Coordinate with procurement or purchasing departments to order replacement parts as needed
Research suppliers and ensure timely delivery of parts to minimize equipment downtime
Verify received parts against purchase orders and packing slips, resolving any discrepancies promptly
Organize parts storage areas for easy accessibility and efficient retrieval
Label parts bins, shelves, or storage containers to enhance identification and streamline inventory management
Implement appropriate storage practices to preserve the quality and integrity of parts
Respond to maintenance requests by promptly retrieving and distributing required parts to maintenance personnel
Prioritize urgent requests and communicate any delays or shortages to relevant stakeholders
Ensure proper documentation of parts issuance and maintain records for accountability and traceability purposes
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
Handle and store parts in accordance with safety regulations and manufacturer recommendations
Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to the overall safety culture of the facility
Establish operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current
Inspect the physical condition of warehouse inventory and equipment
Prepare materials for work orders and requisitions for equipment replacement
Ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing
Salvage damaged or used material and/or its disposal
Check all issued equipment (including hand and portable power tools), and ensure they are inspected and replaced when needed
Ensure all flammables are returned for proper storage and/or disposal
Safely operate forklifts or other equipment utilized in the warehouse area or for parts and/or supply delivery
