Master's degree
For Outpatient Therapist I: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) active in the state of practice upon hire, and Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP) within 30 days
For Outpatient Therapist II: Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health (LPC-MH), Clinical Social Worker - Practitioner in Private Practice (CSW-PIP), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) active in the state of practice upon hire
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
Ability to work primarily days with possible weekends, evenings, holidays (PRN, part-time)

Responsibilities

Coordinate a clinical treatment program for diagnosis, treatment, or referral of clients with moderate to severe social adjustment problems
Adhere to policies assuring confidentiality of client communications
Provide a multi-disciplinary, holistic approach to client treatment, coordinating with hospital departments
Conduct individual, family, or group therapy sessions per National Association of Social Workers principles
Assess client progress and modify or extend treatment programs; coordinate care with referring physicians or agencies
Document therapy in medical records per hospital policies and procedures
Intervene as crisis counselor for immediate psychological needs (e.g., substance abuse, suicide attempts, psychotic episodes)
Refer clients to outside agencies when appropriate
Communicate with family members/significant others to enhance treatment effectiveness
Coordinate client billing and modify treatment based on insurance coverage, plan provisions, and ability to pay
Provide educational programs on psychological topics to hospital/community groups as requested
Assist in coordinating, planning, implementing, and facilitating outpatient programs and counseling services, including individual/group/family counseling, crisis services/evaluation, tele-therapy, assessments, treatment, crisis intervention, and community/education services (some travel required)
