Requirements

Completing a bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering in December 2025 (Spring 2025 and Spring 2026 graduates will be considered)
Demonstrable programming experience from undergraduate projects or internships
Programming experience in C++ and Python
Strong communication skills
Due to contractual requirements, US Citizenship and a willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Full-time on-site work at Kitware’s office in Clifton Park, NY (32 hours per week during college semesters and approximately 40 hours per week during summers)

Responsibilities

Gain a deep understanding of what it takes to create and maintain powerful open-source software platforms
Learn the technical and business knowledge to become leaders at Kitware
Be taught the fundamentals of project leadership skills and learn how to acquire funding to develop open source platforms
Gain a Master’s degree in Computer Science
Work on a variety of open-source projects in areas such as computer vision, scientific computing, data and analytics, medical computing, and software solutions (32 hours per week onsite during semesters and ~40 hours per week onsite during summers)
