Oncology Hospital Specialist

Position Overview

Lilly is seeking an experienced pharmaceutical sales professional to join its successful oncology sales team. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a skilled, integrated team of sales, marketing, PRA, and medical professionals. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping strategies at local and national levels, impacting patient outcomes across Lilly’s current and future Oncology portfolio. We are looking for individuals who are accountable, driven to achieve exceptional results, and eager to make a difference in the lives of patients.

As an Oncology Hospital Specialist, you will leverage your industry knowledge to identify and engage key healthcare professionals (HCPs) within your territory. Building and nurturing strong relationships will be instrumental in promoting the priorities of our oncology portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Territory Management:
    • Achieve/Exceed sales targets through focused customer interactions, including face-to-face, virtual meetings, and digital avenues.
    • Develop and maintain product knowledge of your therapeutic area and relevant competitor products.
    • Define, prepare, and implement your territory business plan with strong cross-functional collaboration, aligned with brand strategy and maximizing key tactic execution.
    • Support HCPs by developing and growing their key capabilities in line with company culture.
    • Partner with the KAM team, MSL, and key head office colleagues to ensure good teamwork and customer support, leading to optimum business achievement.
    • Demonstrate high integrity and compliance at all times.

Requirements

  • Essential Skills:
    • Winning mindset and a desire to succeed in a highly competitive environment.
    • Proven track record in identifying and converting business opportunities into growth.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills (internal and external).
    • Demonstrated key capabilities including in-call selling, communication, key account management, business planning, personal accountability, flexibility, and a drive for success.
    • Ability to make data-driven decisions that impact business results.
    • Proven ability to execute P2P/eP2P meeting programs.
    • Experienced in developing regional and national thought leaders.
    • Ability to sell a portfolio of products (preferable but not essential).
    • Past oncology experience (preferable but not essential).
    • ABPI Qualified.
    • Proven track record in Pharmaceutical Sales.
    • Full UK Driving License.
