Requirements

Candidates should possess a minimum of 4 years of experience as an Instructional Designer, proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and Google Suite, and experience with Generative-AI visual tools. Strong written and verbal fluency in English is required, along with a demonstrable history of working on multiple projects simultaneously and a good eye for design. Some basic computer science, AI, or data science knowledge is preferred, as is experience with online learning and Adobe After Effects.

Responsibilities

The Contract Visual Instructional Designer will translate technical content into a visual medium by reviewing approved scripts and providing visual instruction on design needs, collaborating with Technical Content Developers to find the best visual representation of content, clearly communicating design vision to various audiences, proactively proposing and implementing process improvements, and designing complex charts, graphs, and data-driven visuals. They will also work directly with remote designers and review content from the Content Build Team, and contribute to the creative visuals of Udacity’s course content.
