Requirements

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with After Effects and familiarity with Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Experience with character or diagram animations using 3D software (C4D, Maya, Blender, 3DS Max, Element 3D) and shape layer animation is preferred. A good eye for spacing, timing, and design, the ability to follow a style guide, access to Adobe Creative Cloud, and a track record of successful remote work are essential. System requirements include Windows 7, 8, 10/Mac OS, minimum 16GB RAM, and a dedicated GPU with minimum 4GB. A demo reel of AE work and related asset creation is required.

Responsibilities

The On-Call Designer will create animated 2D or 3D animation videos using After Effects and create assets in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Responsibilities include creating essential graphics, following storyboards and production scripts while providing feedback, communicating frequently with the project team via Slack and email, receiving and incorporating feedback, organizing assets in a Udacity standard file structure, and working collaboratively with the team, taking direction from senior animators, producers, and content designers.
