Tech-savviness, experience with tele-health services, a private workspace with reliable internet and equipment, and availability during traditional school hours (8:00 am-3:00 pm, Monday-Friday) with a minimum of 10 hours per week are also necessary. Fluency in additional languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Specialized Education Teacher will provide remote special education support to suspended or expelled students, deliver compensatory education services, and develop and implement individualized lesson plans to improve reading and writing skills. This role involves creating and managing IEPs, providing case management services, and collaborating with families to schedule and tailor services to their child’s needs. Responsibilities also include conducting screenings, progress monitoring, outcomes assessments, educating families on support strategies, and maintaining accurate session documentation.
