Requirements

  • Reside in Iquique (mandatory exclusionary requirement)
  • Technical degree in electricity, electromechanics, automation, and control
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in plant operations, preferably in desalination and water treatment

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and maintain electric motors, control and electrical distribution panels, pumps, compressors, and other electrical equipment
  • Diagnose and repair faults in electrical systems
  • Monitor the performance of electrical systems, ensuring they operate within established parameters
  • Control the start-up and shutdown of motors and other electrical equipment according to established procedures
  • Collaborate in the installation of new electrical systems or updates to existing ones, ensuring secure connections that comply with regulatory standards
  • Perform commissioning of new equipment and verify proper operation
  • Supervise the operation of industrial automation systems that control and optimize processes such as desalination, water distribution, and chemical treatment
  • Review and adjust parameters of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, and other automation devices
  • Prepare detailed reports on maintenance activities performed, including equipment conditions, interventions carried out, and recommendations
