Requirements
- Reside in Iquique (mandatory exclusionary requirement)
- Technical degree in electricity, electromechanics, automation, and control
- Minimum 2 years of experience in plant operations, preferably in desalination and water treatment
Responsibilities
- Inspect and maintain electric motors, control and electrical distribution panels, pumps, compressors, and other electrical equipment
- Diagnose and repair faults in electrical systems
- Monitor the performance of electrical systems, ensuring they operate within established parameters
- Control the start-up and shutdown of motors and other electrical equipment according to established procedures
- Collaborate in the installation of new electrical systems or updates to existing ones, ensuring secure connections that comply with regulatory standards
- Perform commissioning of new equipment and verify proper operation
- Supervise the operation of industrial automation systems that control and optimize processes such as desalination, water distribution, and chemical treatment
- Review and adjust parameters of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, and other automation devices
- Prepare detailed reports on maintenance activities performed, including equipment conditions, interventions carried out, and recommendations
