Requirements

  • Experience selling FPGAs, ASICs, or embedded computing platforms
  • Strong understanding of FPGA technologies, embedded systems, or related hardware/software ecosystems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; MBA is a plus
  • 10+ years of sales experience in semiconductors, embedded systems, or high-tech industries
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a technical sales role
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed
  • Background in technical sales leadership in channel sales or distribution sales (preferred)
  • Familiarity with vertical markets such as AI/ML, networking, automotive, or industrial automation (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Own and achieve/exceed sales targets and strategic objectives for North America and Americas distribution and channel offices
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with channel and ecosystem partners
  • Drive outsized pipeline growth
  • Identify emerging customer needs and align them with Altera’s FPGA and SoC solutions
  • Collaborate with field applications engineering (FAEs) regional leadership, product teams, and marketing to deliver customer-centric solutions
  • Lead business planning and forecasting processes, pipeline management, and sales reporting
  • Represent Altera at key industry events, customer meetings, and technical forums
  • Maintain deep knowledge of competitor activity, market trends, and customer roadmaps
  • Drive design wins and support the customer from concept through production deployment
  • Ensure accurate CRM updates and account documentation
