Requirements

  • Must be licensed as one of the following: Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC); Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); Licensed Social Worker (LSW); Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Licensed Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (LAMFT); or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT). Preference for professionals with relevant independent licensure
  • Experience implementing evidence-based treatment and prevention programs is strongly preferred
  • Ability to work with diverse, high-risk populations in need of support services and case management
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle, and an acceptable driving record
  • Preference for clinicians with previous training in Motivational Interviewing. Those who are not trained must be trained within sixty (60) days of hire or assignment to the Hub
  • Preferred candidates will have experience working with and empowering at-risk youth and marginalized communities by conducting prevention education (e.g., substance abuse, pregnancy prevention, mental health, and well-being sessions, etc.) activities

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services both in person and through telehealth to students across the Hub school districts of Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem counties, including screening, brief interventions, facilitating treatment referrals, school consultation, and making necessary referrals to community supports as needed/identified
  • Coordinate and integrate treatment with other therapists, psychiatry, case management, and other service providers, within and between agencies, when appropriate
  • Help support the implementation of case review/school needs assessment process and provide direct services to students and parents/caregivers according to Tier eligibility
  • Partner with the Hub Director in the development and implementation of mental health workplans and social/emotional learning assessments
  • Responsible for oversight of the timely and evidence-based delivery of clinical services for students within the Hub
  • Counsel individuals, families, or groups in an outpatient setting, and develop and implement therapeutic treatment plans
