Position Overview
Dane Street, a national provider of Utilization Review services, is expanding its physician panel. This telework opportunity offers physicians a chance to earn supplemental income by providing medical necessity reviews for treatment requests and appeals. As an independent contract reviewer (1099), you will work with a caseload customized to your schedule.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted New York Medical License
- Workers Comp Board Certified
- Active Practice Board Certified
- Specialty: Orthopedic Surgery - Spine Surgery
Responsibilities
- Review medical treatment requests and appeals to determine medical necessity.
- Provide advisory-only opinions.
- Complete reviews within a typical turnaround time (TAT) of 1-5 business days, with same-day cases being rare.
