Bachelor’s degree in fine art, or a diploma or certificate from a recognized school of animation, visual effects, or graphic design
3+ years of relevant experience in VFX or animated feature films
Good knowledge of graphic design techniques and styles using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Good general knowledge of 3D modelling, shading, animation, and rendering as applied to motion graphics
Good understanding of fundamental visual principles, including perspective, composition, form, value, and color, with the ability to apply them consistently
Basic understanding of compositing in VFX and animation production
Ability to provide a demo reel illustrating relevant artistic and technical experience

Responsibilities

Create sophisticated motion graphics in a broad range of styles under the guidance of the Motion Graphics Supervisor for use in diverse contexts
Design and animate motion graphics for contexts including computer displays (e.g., FUI), mobile devices, holograms, comic book elements (panels, speech bubbles, chibis), speedlines, inklines, stylized FX elements (e.g., 2D explosions, portal/warp/wormholes), and more
