Requirements

Candidates should possess at least two years of professional software engineering experience, demonstrating deep proficiency in at least one systems programming language such as Go, Rust, or C++, and one high-level language like Python or TypeScript. They must have a proven track record of shipping production-grade distributed systems, including the design, implementation, and operation of services that run at scale and maintain high availability. Furthermore, candidates should have hands-on experience with end-to-end machine learning workflows, encompassing data pipelines, model training and tuning, packaging, and low-latency serving utilizing frameworks like PyTorch and CUDA. Strong product sense and the ability to translate ambiguous problems into well-defined engineering tasks are also required, alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective leadership in design documentation and code reviews within a fast-paced, asynchronous environment.

Responsibilities

As a Member of Technical Staff, the individual will own end-to-end feature work, encompassing the creation of RFCs and design reviews, the implementation of infrastructure-as-code, the establishment of monitoring systems, and post-launch iteration. They will optimize GPU inference pipelines, extend the TypeScript/React console, and design new audio-streaming protocols. The role involves pairing with customers to debug latency spikes and subsequently upstreaming the fixes into the orchestration layer. Furthermore, the candidate will influence engineering culture by instituting best practices, mentoring newer hires, and shaping the technical roadmap alongside the founders.
