Responsibilities

  • Provide scientific and medical leadership to build and maintain professional, credible relationships with thought leaders and external experts of strategic importance to Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC)
  • Ensure a strong medical and scientific presence for ADC in key academic centers through facilitation of research and educational initiatives
  • Support requests for medical and scientific information on ADC products or areas of therapeutic interest
  • Serve as the medical/scientific voice of expertise for ADC products and therapeutic areas, including scientific exchange and professional development with key thought leaders/external experts
  • Provide medical/scientific affairs support to the US commercial team and interface regularly with appropriate commercial team members
  • Act as a point of contact within the medical and scientific affairs team for thought leaders and external experts in the assigned geographic area (Northeast Region: Long Island/NYC) to satisfy their needs
  • Support scientific dialogue and collaboration in areas of research, scientific publications, and medical/scientific exchange, including unsolicited requests for medical information
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge to ensure credible dissemination of scientific information and dialogue with thought leaders, healthcare providers, and healthcare organizations
