Responsibilities

  • Serve as the medical/scientific voice of expertise for Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) products and therapeutic areas
  • Provide medical/scientific expert advice, guidance, scientific exchange, and professional development to key thought leaders/external experts
  • Provide medical/scientific affairs support to the US commercial team
  • Support scientific credibility of ADC through dialogue, collaboration in research, scientific publications, and medical/scientific exchange
  • Interface regularly with appropriate US commercial team members
  • Provide scientific and medical leadership to ensure professional, credible relationships with thought leaders and external experts of strategic importance
  • Ensure strong medical/scientific presence in key academic centers via facilitation of research and educational initiatives
  • Support requests for medical and scientific information on products or therapeutic areas of interest
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other in-field members while retaining functional independence
  • Serve as point of contact within medical/scientific affairs for thought leaders/external experts in assigned geographic area (Northeast Region: Long Island/NYC)
