Responsibilities

Provide scientific and medical leadership to build and maintain professional, credible relationships with thought leaders and external experts of strategic importance to Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC)
Ensure a strong medical and scientific presence for ADC in key academic centers through facilitation of research and educational initiatives
Support requests for medical and scientific information on ADC products or areas of therapeutic interest
Engage in scientific exchange, professional development, research collaboration, scientific publications, and medical/scientific dialogue with key thought leaders, healthcare providers, and organizations
Provide medical/scientific expert advice and guidance to key customers for ADC products and relevant therapeutic areas
Serve as the medical/scientific voice of expertise for ADC products and therapeutic areas
Interface regularly with appropriate US commercial team members to provide medical/scientific affairs support
Act as a point of contact within the medical and scientific affairs team for thought leaders and external experts in the assigned geographic area (MN/WI) to satisfy their needs
Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other in-field members while retaining functional independence
