Responsibilities

Provide scientific and medical leadership to build and maintain professional, credible relationships with thought leaders and external experts of strategic importance to Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC)
Ensure strong medical and scientific presence for ADC in key academic centers through facilitation of research and educational initiatives
Support requests for medical and scientific information on ADC products or areas of therapeutic interest
Serve as the medical/scientific voice of expertise for ADC products and therapeutic areas, focusing on scientific engagement with stakeholders
Conduct scientific exchange, professional development, and collaboration with key thought leaders/external experts in research, publications, and medical/scientific dialogue
Provide medical/scientific affairs support to the US commercial team and interface regularly with commercial team members
Act as point of contact within the medical and scientific affairs team for thought leaders and external experts in the assigned geographic area (MN/WI) to satisfy their needs
Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other in-field members while retaining functional independence
