Requirements

  • Skilled as a specialty meat cutter using knives

  • Physical ability to stand continuously; frequently walk, lift 11-50 lbs, carry 21-50 lbs, push/pull, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel, bend, twist, grasp objects, manipulate objects, manual dexterity; occasionally sit, lift 1-10 lbs or 51-100 lbs, carry 1-20 lbs or 51-100 lbs, reach above shoulder

Responsibilities

  • Prepare high quality cuts of meat according to customer specifications using company standards and adhering to all safety requirements
  • Keep within yield and time benchmarks
  • Trim and customize portions of meat products using knives, band saws or other meat production equipment
  • Count and stack on tray portions per customer and company specifications
  • Label portions with supplied product labels
  • Read and understand cut tickets
  • Set up the cutting room as required
  • Keep cutting rooms and surrounding area clean and sanitized
  • Follow company GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to maintain sanitary conditions
  • Complete miscellaneous other duties as assigned
  • Interact professionally with employees, sales, and management throughout the company
