Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain the master production schedule to ensure continuous and efficient plant operations across multiple manufacturing locations
  • Analyze resources, determine production rates, and crunch data to ensure accurate resource-allocated production schedules
  • Create insightful scheduling reports to identify material shortages, potential customer shipment issues, and labor requirements
  • Communicate the 3-week and 12-week master schedule clearly and effectively with the Production Manager, Production Schedulers, and Project Managers, including leading production schedule review meetings, providing project status updates, and communicating potential delays
  • Review schedules and proactively identify potential workforce, materials, and shipping issues, communicating these to the leadership team
  • Continuously monitor, identify, and manage improvements to the overall scheduling process
  • Proactively help identify critical paths, resolve resource conflicts, address material availability challenges, and troubleshoot manufacturing issues
  • Interface with MRP data to incorporate production rates, material availability, and project timelines into the master schedule
  • Drive strong cross-departmental cooperation between procurement, materials management, and production departments to ensure accuracy of lead times, current inventories, and project timelines
