Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in equipment reliability, maintenance engineering, process engineering or a similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including drug screening
  • Preferred: Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to equipment maintenance and reliability in a GMP environment
  • Preferred: Experience in monitoring and improving OEE metrics to enhance production efficiency
  • Preferred: Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen)
  • Preferred: Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles, maintenance best practices, and root cause analysis techniques
  • Preferred: Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) methodologies
  • Preferred: Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools to evaluate equipment performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Preferred: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement equipment reliability strategies to ensure optimal performance and longevity of manufacturing equipment used in the production of cell culture media
  • Conduct Reliability Engineering for maintenance (REM) on equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including safety, maintenance, production, quality, and engineering, to identify and resolve equipment-related issues
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) programs and schedules for all critical equipment
  • Implement and monitor equipment performance metrics, including Operating Equipment Efficiency (OEE), and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to equipment maintenance and reliability
  • Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production personnel on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability of critical components while optimizing inventory levels
  • Prepare and present reports on equipment performance, reliability metrics, OEE, and improvement initiatives to management
