Requirements

  • Expertise in offshore and domestic fund accounting and administration for alternative funds
  • Ability to manage delegation of tasks to team members

  • Due diligence to ensure client compliance with government laws and regulations
  • Adherence to Anti-Money Laundering policies and procedures
  • Generation and reconciliation of accounting reporting, such as month-end valuation reports
  • Review and approval of month-end valuations
  • Authorization of wire payments from fund’s escrow accounts
  • Strong client engagement and dedication to quality service

Responsibilities

  • Main contact for clients, demonstrating expertise in fund accounting
  • Manage delegation of funds to the team
  • Coordinate/onboard new fund set ups
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams
  • Ensure accurate and thorough accounting packages are provided
  • Coordinate and support year-end audit engagements
  • Perform due diligence for client compliance
  • Adhere to Anti-Money Laundering policies
  • Generate and reconcile all accounting reporting (e.g., month-end valuation reports)
  • Review and approve month-end valuations
  • Authorize wire payments from fund’s escrow accounts
  • Correspond with investment managers regarding day-to-day inquiries
  • Connect with investment managers, transfer agents, and sales & service teams to resolve issues
  • Collaborate with internal technology and vendor support for system issues
  • Conduct performance appraisals, monthly one-on-ones, and provide career pathing/training
  • Ensure staffing requirements are met through hiring and interviewing
  • Provide and champion a team environment, including individual development and disciplinary action
  • Support new business development and relationship teams for prospect calls, client visits, and presentations
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new and converted clients
