Candidates should be a high school student currently enrolled in a machining technical program and possess a strong interest in pursuing a career in machining. Prior machining experience is not required, but a willingness to learn and a commitment to completing the structured on-the-job training program are essential.
The Machinist Intern / Pre-Apprenticeship will participate in a comprehensive on-the-job training program, completing coursework focused on setting up and repairing aerospace components on Manual/CNC machining equipment, learning industry standards and regulations, materials machined, repair processes, safety policies, formula calculations, proper documentation, and appropriate communication with team members, supervisors, and trainers. They will also demonstrate proficiency in these areas and contribute to the machining center's operations under the supervision of experienced machinists.
