We’re seeking exceptional Engineers to build pipelines, create services, and design APIs to process billions of items and provide low-latency information retrieval. This role offers a chance to tackle complex problems, collaborate with a diverse team, and make a significant impact.

Requirements

  • Experience with data pipelines, ML processing, and/or service infrastructure.
  • Ability to optimize software performance for throughput and latency.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complexity.
  • Experience with API design and integration.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing in production environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver, and maintain significant features in data pipelines, ML processing, and/or service infrastructure.
  • Optimize software performance to achieve the required throughput and/or latency.
  • Work with the team to build and maintain eBay’s Product Knowledge system.
  • Collaborate on creating services that provide Search or other Information Retrieval capabilities.
  • Design and run A/B tests in Production experiences to vet and measure the impact of new functionality.
