Requirements
- Hold a valid Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license in Massachusetts
- Possess 1+ years of experience in an outpatient community mental health setting
- Expertise in treating common mental health conditions among college-aged students including depression, anxiety, ADHD, and substance use disorders
- Understand culturally responsive treatment and have experience with diverse patient groups
- Comfortable assessing the urgency of escalating risk scenarios
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekend shifts and evenings
- Experience with biopsychosocial intakes and medication management
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and virtual care platforms
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality, culturally competent virtual psychiatric evaluations and medication management appointments
- Conduct biopsychosocial intakes focused on whole-person care with clear diagnostic assessments
- Engage with patients through collaboration portal
- Collaborate with supervisors, peers, and on-campus treatment providers
- Document clinical encounters for effective care coordination
- Partner with care navigation team to support students
- Collaborate with campus care teams to create longer-term treatment plans when necessary
- Participate in virtual NP collaborative meetings and hands meetings
- Provide virtual therapy to college students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students
