Candidates should possess over 7 years of localisation or internationalisation experience, ideally within a consumer-facing app, media company, or content-heavy digital product. Deep experience localising video content at scale is essential, along with strong leadership skills and experience guiding small teams and collaborating across disciplines. Familiarity with localisation platforms and workflows (e.g., Lokalise, Phrase, Smartling) and video localisation tools or partners is required. A user-centric mindset with a sharp editorial eye, data literacy, and excellent communication and project management skills are also necessary. Fluency in English is required, and fluency in one or more additional languages is a strong plus.
The Localisation Lead will own and lead the localisation strategy and execution across product UI, marketing, and video-based content, including subtitling, dubbing, cultural adaptation, and in-video graphics. They will build and refine scalable localisation workflows, guide localisation for video content, and collaborate closely with producers, editors, and motion designers. This role involves managing a team of localisers, freelancers, or vendors, selecting and managing localisation platforms and vendor relationships, and developing core localisation assets. The Lead will also use data to measure localisation quality and performance, and act as an internal advocate for localisation best practices.
