Requirements

  • Ability to perform all general warehouse functions including loading, unloading, manual depal, receiving, put-a-way, pulls, replenishments, and selection of product when qualified
  • Certification for specific equipment and/or processes required for each function
  • Capability to work in freezer, cooler, and dry warehouse environments with extreme cold and/or warm temperatures
  • Successful completion of the receiving certification process and testing
  • Ability to operate MHE such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely
  • Knowledge of Preferred Work Methods (PWMs), safety rules, proper lifting techniques, and physical work practices
  • Proficiency in using warehouse computers, RF equipment, and warehouse management systems
  • Understanding and compliance with Company policies (e.g., attendance, Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Associate Handbook) and applicable State/Federal laws/regulations (e.g., OSHA, HACCP)
  • Support for food safety policies, standard operating procedures, and prerequisite food safety control programs

Responsibilities

  • Ensure pallets received meet defined requirements and inspect product for shortages, damage, quality, or deterioration
  • Enter/scan accurately upon receipt: LPN, catch-weight, manufacture date, expiration date, piece count, weights into warehouse management system using RF equipment, verifying against bills of lading, invoices, etc
  • Record overages, shortages, damages on OS&D form and communicate vendor compliance issues via vendor compliance form
  • Verify refrigerated and frozen product temperatures per PWMs and follow temperature abuse process if out of tolerance
  • Apply blind LPNs if not provided by manufacturer
  • Ensure proper operation of dock doors, plates, lights, and locks; report repair/service needs to supervisor
  • Maintain neatness, cleanliness of assigned work areas and travel aisles, and accuracy of warehouse locations
  • Report unfixable/unsafe issues immediately to supervisor and minimize warehouse shrink/damage
  • Observe and enforce all safety rules, perform daily MHE inspections, and maintain/clean equipment; report repair needs
  • Perform all duties safely, accurately, meeting productivity standards and goals; perform other warehouse duties as assigned
