We provide expertise across Intelligence, Analytics, Engineering, Mission Support, and Communications. Headquartered in Washington, DC, with locations in Tampa, FL, Bedford, IN, and Dayton, OH, Barbaricum is seeking a senior-level IT and Linux professional to support the US Strategic Command (STRATCOM) J61 in the Command and Control Facility (C2F) at Offutt AFB, NE. This role focuses on providing IT engineering expertise for enterprise systems within the C2F, ensuring mission alignment and capability requirements for Nuclear Command and Control, Cyber, Electromagnetic Spectrum Management, and Missile Defense.

Requirements

• Senior-level IT and Linux professional experience
• Experience with Linux systems
• Desired: Experience with Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) and Red Hat Identity Management (IdM)

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise, direction, and oversight on Linux systems in support of Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4), and IT projects spanning USSTRATCOM’s current and future missions.
• Recommend and implement Linux-based technologies and develop strategies to meet USSTRATCOM’s evolving infrastructure and capability requirements.
• Design and optimize Linux-driven operational C4IT architectures, ensuring they align with Presidential, DoD, and USSTRATCOM’s mission objectives.
• Plan and execute duties as the designated Service Owner for 1) Linux Architecture & Engineering, and 2) Linux-based Cloud Integration.
• Engage in Linux-centric technology market research, prepare business case analyses (BCAs) for leadership, and leverage national labs, industry, and academia best practices when crafting Linux-focused C4, IT, and NC3 solutions, architectures, and roadmaps.
