Requirements

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
Adherence to FMCNA's mission, vision, core values, compliance program, regulatory requirements, and company policies
Ability to function as part of the hemodialysis health care team under direct supervision of a registered nurse
Skills in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy, including technical aspects of dialysis procedures
Capability to monitor, document, and report patient conditions, treatment parameters, incidents, and equipment problems
Knowledge of end-stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, and diet education

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care for assigned patients, including all technical aspects of dialysis procedures as prescribed
Administer and monitor dialysis treatments in accordance with the current treatment plan or supervisor directions
Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters on flow sheets and other patient care information in records
Report significant information, changes in patient condition, or equipment problems to the supervisor
Assist in developing and following teaching plans to educate patients and families on end-stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, and diet
Drive FMCNA culture through values and customer service standards, maintaining outstanding service to all customers
Develop and maintain effective relationships through timely communication and resolve customer service issues
Participate in implementation and evaluation of patient care
Report and document all new or unusual incidents, information, complaints, or problems to the supervisor
Promote and assist in maintaining a safe and clean work environment
