Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 8 years in the IT field. This includes over 6 years of Splunk engineering or architecture experience, more than 5 years of experience with log ingestion into Splunk from GCP, Azure, and AWS cloud platforms, and experience with Splunk Common Information Model (CIM) and Enterprise Analytic. Splunk Certified Core Power User and Splunk Certified Enterprise Administrator certifications are required, along with a solid understanding of operations, technology, communications, and processes. A passion for improving consumer experiences is also essential.

Responsibilities

The Lead Software Engineer will drive the design and implementation of scalable observability solutions, leading enterprise-scale initiatives and mentoring engineers. Responsibilities include translating business requirements into software solutions, embedding observability into the SDLC, and designing distributed systems for reliability and performance. The role involves building automation scripts, integrating observability into CI/CD pipelines, and conducting code reviews. Additionally, the engineer will establish observability standards, conduct audits, and stay current with industry trends. Expertise in architecting and managing Splunk environments, developing SPL queries, optimizing data ingestion, and performing Splunk administration tasks is crucial. The role also includes participating in on-call rotations, resolving issues, estimating work, and reducing technical debt.
