Requirements

  • Visionary and hands-on technical leadership skills as an Individual Contributor (IC)

  • Expertise in Audio-Visual (AV) and Unified Communications (UC) systems
  • Proficiency in DevOps principles, including automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
  • Experience with AI, machine learning, APIs, webhooks, IoT devices, and emerging technologies for AV optimization
  • Knowledge of managing and testing beta hardware, new room systems, control automation, and cloud-based solutions
  • Strong skills in engineering best practices: code reviews, testing, documentation, root cause analysis (RCA), and standardized programming
  • Ability to define technical vision, roadmaps, standards, KPIs, and conduct post-incident reviews
  • Experience leading incident response, release management, and process improvements
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with engineers, product managers, security, stakeholders, and third-party vendors

Responsibilities

  • Champion engineering best practices, including code reviews, comprehensive testing, and detailed documentation
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers
  • Lead technical discussions, architectural decisions, and design reviews for complex platform initiatives
  • Define, communicate, and execute the technical vision and roadmap for platform engineering, aligned with organizational goals
  • Innovate with AI, machine learning, APIs, webhooks, and IoT for predictive maintenance, intelligent room scheduling, user experience improvements, and custom integrations
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce AV standards; manage and test beta hardware and new technologies; create forward-looking technology roadmaps
  • Collaborate with product managers, security, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Implement DevOps methodologies for process improvement, automation, CI/CD, and quality assurance
  • Plan and execute platform engineering projects, track progress, identify risks, and ensure timely delivery
  • Establish procedures for issue identification, escalation, resolution, RCA, software/firmware releases, upgrades, and maintenance
  • Lead critical incident response and post-incident reviews
  • Define and monitor KPIs for platform health, stability, performance; generate reports
  • Serve as primary liaison with third-party vendors for support, escalation, and feedback
  • Act as primary owner for Technology Owned Business Application, ensuring data quality of CI attributes, initiating Launch Review process, and completing NFR assessments
