Requirements

  • Track record of leading the technical work of a team in developing and deploying advanced Machine Learning models tackling real business problems with demonstrable impact, preferably in a fast-moving tech company
  • Experience developing and shipping deep learning, graph-based, and/or sequence-based ML architectures to production and delivering business impact
  • Impact-driven mindset with excitement to own the end-to-end journey from business problem to measurable production impact
  • Experience in and passion for mentoring other ML practitioners, sharing knowledge, and raising the technical bar across the team
  • Self-starter mindset: proactively identify the most impactful issues and opportunities and collaboratively tackle them
  • Enthusiasm for Monzo's mission to transform customer service using advanced ML techniques like LLMs

Responsibilities

  • Leverage deep experience to understand customers’ problems and support needs based on a variety of inputs
  • Route customers to the right COp (support workforce) and globally optimise routing decisions across millions of customers and thousands of support staff
  • Automate the resolution of customers’ support needs through autonomous agents
  • Aid customer support in decision-making and pattern detection
  • Develop human-in-the-loop systems using state-of-the-art ML techniques including LLMs to predict, identify, disambiguate, and route customer problems at scale
  • Embed in product squads, experiment with technical approaches, justify and demonstrate effectiveness to meet business and customer needs
