Requirements

  • Expertise in electrical commissioning and testing activities

  • Experience participating in meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to provide technical opinions and agree on deliverables

  • Proficiency in reviewing, checking, analyzing, and approving design documents (BoD, OPR, electrical drawings, schematics, diagrams, installation drawings)
  • Skills in supporting engineering and commissioning deliverables development
  • Experience developing, creating, reviewing, and approving test scripts, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and Factory Witness Tests (FWT)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and steer all electrical commissioning and testing activities for contracted work related to electrical systems at the client's site according to agreed Scope of Works
  • Act as technical expert and advisory for the client on feasibility, practicality, cost, resource impact of solutions, methods, and work procedures throughout the commissioning process
  • Fulfil the role of on-site technical lead, coordinating information from equipment vendors, client, contractors, and site owners to make decisions and lead
  • Participate and contribute to meetings with the client, consultants, other contractors to provide expert technical opinion and agree on commissioning deliverables scope
  • Ensure all relevant certification and required documentation have been provided by construction contractors and equipment/system vendors for approval and use in commissioning documentation
  • Review, check, analyze, and provide opinion on design documents such as BoD, OPR, electrical drawings, schematics, diagrams, and installation drawings, approving those meeting client commissioning requirements
  • Support engineering and commissioning deliverables development, working with team members
  • Develop, create, review, and achieve approval of test scripts and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Develop, create, review, achieve approval, and initiate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) or Factory Witness Tests (FWT) according to client needs
  • Ensure delivery quality is consistent with client testing and commissioning requirements and tested outcomes match client's desired specifications
  • Provide direction for all electrical aspects of assigned commissioning projects from initial engagement through turnover to the client
  • Execute against project schedule through coordination of contractors and/or vendors to complete electrical system testing
  • Ensure safety of oneself and other project personnel
