High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of work experience in material handling: warehousing, shipping, and/or receiving (preferred)
Proven record of leading and mentoring teams, with experience in guiding peers
DOT/IATA Certification (preferred)
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a safety-first approach
Proficient in reading and interpreting shipping labels (DOT labeling)
Ability to be trained in the operation of pallet jacks and lift gates
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Able to lift 30-40 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), and use equipment to move up to 100 lbs
Ability to stand, walk, reach, and bend for full shifts in varied environmental conditions (fluctuating temperatures, loud noises, strong odors, hazardous materials, etc.)
Willingness to wear PPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, steel-toe shoes, etc.) and work with hazardous/toxic materials

Responsibilities

Generate, verify, and match shipping labels with incoming packages to ensure accuracy
Maintain awareness of current SDS and ensure compliance
Identify order discrepancies and raise to appropriate personnel
Ensure all incoming and outgoing packages are scanned accurately for inventory control
Safely operate pallet jacks to move heavy packages and pallets
Ensure proper handling and placement of items to prevent damage
Coordinate the delivery of materials to the appropriate locations
Serve as point of contact for customers and carriers, ensuring compliance and efficiency in dock and shipping activities
May perform other duties as assigned by management
