  • Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology or related discipline, or GCE "A" or "O" Level with more than 5 years’ experience
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in quality inspection environment or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Computer literacy and experience with ERP and LIMS systems (advantageous)
  • Practical experience in working in a fast-paced laboratory environment with tight deadlines
  • Ability to solve problems in a speedy and methodical manner with good follow-up on action items
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Proficient in all job processes within a functional production area

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all sampling and testing activities in the Incoming Materials laboratory are carried out in a safe and productive manner, adhering to GMP/GLP standards
  • Assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as GMPs, Class A and ISO regulations
  • Assist in trouble-shooting and determining root cause for quality issues related to incoming raw materials or packaging materials
  • Alert Materials and Operations to conditions that may adversely impact product quality
  • Responsible for routine vendor audits, incoming quality assurance, and feedback and reporting
  • Provide testing services to Plant Operations to ensure seamless and smooth process operations
  • Apply specialized knowledge to coordinate day-to-day work and complete a wide range of tasks and assignments
  • Analyze information to select appropriate options from defined alternatives and resolve more complex situations using demonstrated knowledge and skills
  • Anticipate problems, recognize when to deviate from standard practices, and resolve exceptions with team lead or supervisor concurrence
  • Independently gather resources and information needed to complete projects; receive no instruction on routine work
  • Perform quality audits and drives to fix problems
  • Perform complex resolution to issues escalated from less experienced team members
  • Contribute to team through quality and efficiency of own work; apply communication skills to provide service, coordinate information, and collaborate with others
  • Regularly interact with customers and first line management
