Inventory Control Coordinator

Employment Type: FULL_TIME

Position Overview

Welcome to Nature's Way! Our purpose is to help people live healthy lives, building a happier, healthier world for everyone. We are seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator to play a key role within our supply chain. This position serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and key user for our SAP computer system, focusing on inventory and production data. The role is responsible for maintaining system integrity between production records (PI Sheets) and SAP, ensuring supply chain data accuracy. You will act as a liaison between Manufacturing/Packaging, Warehouse Associates, Production Planning, Quality, and Controlling. A primary responsibility is to maintain high inventory accuracy across all materials located in multiple warehouse and distribution center locations, while contributing to overall supply chain process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the Process Order Reconciliation Standard Operating Procedure for Electronic PI Sheet Process Orders.
  • Review and clear Process Order exception messages by making appropriate changes.
  • Verify Planned Output versus actual Output, ensuring they are within tolerance and taking necessary action for discrepancies.
  • Review material, labor, and machine inputs and outputs, comparing planned to actual and making adjustments as needed.
  • Reconcile dynamic warehouse bins for each process order and make inventory adjustments according to standard operating procedures.
  • Close complete process orders once reconciliation is finalized.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Inventory Transactions, Procedures, Controls, and Data Accuracy within our "SAP" business software.
  • Monitor consumption zone inventories, conduct physical counts as needed, and reconcile system to floor inventories.
  • Coordinate quarterly cycle counts of consumption zone inventories (e.g., coating materials, seals, desiccants) with warehouse personnel and reconcile system to floor inventories.
  • Monitor the 999 storage type in SAP for all warehouses, working closely with warehouse personnel to investigate large variances and make adjustments within their security tolerance, using sound judgment in line with Nature's Way SOPs.
  • Review and verify End of Batch Reports for OTC relevant materials where end of lots do not reconcile within tolerance, leading investigations and escalating to QA if necessary.
  • Review excess inventory and maintain an "Inventory Use Only" sales order to drive new production/purchases.
  • Investigate root causes of expired inventory and drive process changes to reduce future write-offs.
  • Prepare and review the Open Order Report daily.
  • Collaborate with QA and process disposal notifications for materials that are damaged, expired, discontinued, or have quality issues.
  • Create Transfer Orders to remove inventory from SAP.
  • Monitor and prepare label version write-offs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive supply chain initiatives.
