Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED plus 1-year warehousing experience
  • Ability to operate a 10-key touchpad
  • Prefer 3-4 years of warehouse experience
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50-70 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to walk and sit for extended periods, and occasionally pull, squat, and reach up to 4-7 feet
  • Ability to communicate clearly in person and over the phone
  • Ability to perform substantial key entry, paperwork, and filing
  • Ability to read text close and at a distance (with or without correction)
  • Ability to perform manual tasks, hear, sit, reach, lift, bend, and interact with others
  • Certified on warehouse equipment (possibly forklift license)

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and inspect produce at the dock to ensure quality standards and quantity are correct
  • Perform daily physical cycle counts on frozen, cooler, and dry product
  • Keep Warehouse Manager/Supervisor informed of potential problems and changes
  • Complete inventory and warehouse reports daily
  • Assist and coordinate all physical inventories per SYGMA guidelines
  • Work closely with all departments on merchandise received, new items, and inventories for continuous information flow
  • Adhere to cycle count program
  • Adhere to HACCP and MSDS guidelines
  • Conduct aisle audits
  • Handle salvage/damage recoups
  • Assist with inventory adjustments
  • Assist inventory control supervisor with slot maintenance, stock transfers, and physical inventories
  • Assist inventory control supervisor with purchasing activities (overstocks, short supply, inconsistent buying, out of stocks)
  • Interface with purchasing, warehouse, inventory, and customer service
  • Highlight problem areas for follow-up
  • Research credits to determine reasons
  • Perform VCB’s when necessary
  • Occasionally schedule inbound loads
  • Other duties as assigned by Management
