Requirements

  • Ability to perform timely and accurate cycle counts of inventory
  • Proficiency in using Warehouse Management System (WMS), warehouse computers, and RF equipment
  • Capability to operate material handling equipment (MHE) such as forklifts, stock pickers, and pallet jacks safely
  • Knowledge of inventory control activities including lot tracking, date integrity, product condition, and stock location
  • Understanding of company policies (e.g., attendance, Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Associate Handbook)
  • Compliance with State/Federal laws, regulations, and policies (e.g., OSHA, HACCP, BRC)
  • Ability to perform daily inspections on MHE and report repair needs
  • Effective communication skills with supervisors and operations team
  • Attention to detail for researching reports, verifying forms, and ensuring accuracy
  • Commitment to safety rules, food safety policies, and minimizing warehouse shrink

Responsibilities

  • Perform quarterly cycle counting of inventory to ensure accuracy, including product information, condition, location, and status
  • Make accurate cycle count adjustments in the WMS
  • Communicate potential inventory loss (e.g., expiration, temp issues) to Manager, Inventory Control or Director, Warehouse Operations
  • Correct mis-located products during cycle counts and complete Quality Incident Packets
  • Research Lost Pallet Report, perform physical searches, determine adjustments, and input into WMS
  • Review product activity in WMS, RDC SUS, opco incident database, and regional adjustments database
  • Retrieve, research, and put away stray product
  • Pull, process, load, and complete outbound returns, donations, recalls, salvages, and other shipments
  • Research catch weights on questionable receiving and report to Administration staff
  • Review Overage, Shortage, and Damage (OS&D) Forms for completeness and accuracy, and approve after verification
  • Retrieve and communicate shelf life, lot, and expiration data from Short Shelf Life and Received with Less Than Required Shelf Life Reports
  • Work with supervisor and operations to minimize warehouse shrink
  • Maintain neatness and cleanliness of assigned work area
  • Report safety issues, observe and enforce safety rules, and eliminate accidents/injuries
  • Ensure MHE is maintained, clean, and report repair/service needs
  • Use warehouse computers and RF equipment safely and professionally
  • Support food safety policies, SOPs, and prerequisite programs
  • Accept additional responsibilities as required
