Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred (pre-employment assessment required if not held)
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Detail oriented with ability to use elementary measuring tools (e.g., micrometer calipers, electronic calipers)
  • Ability to read and understand tolerances on manufacturing drawings
  • Some knowledge of MRP principles
  • Ability to read and understand work orders
  • Experience using computers
  • Demonstrated decision-making ability with good judgment
  • Thorough understanding of process flows, lead times, and lean principles in manufacturing
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work in noise levels from quiet to extremely loud
  • Ability to wear PPE (eye, ear, foot protection) on manufacturing floor
  • Ability to occasionally lift/move 10-50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and organized inventory
  • Pull all detail and finished goods parts per Bill of Materials
  • Stock and store all details and hardware inventories
  • Receive all returned parts by completing general receiving report
  • Modify inventory in computerized system to reflect daily transactions and current levels
  • Assist other stores personnel in monthly inventory and weekly cycle counts
  • Conduct all business transactions and communications professionally per company policy
  • Practice safe procedures when using material handling equipment
  • Support company Quality Policy, Mission Statement, and policies (customer satisfaction, quality, lean processes, continuous improvement, on-time delivery, safety, teaming, accountability, respect)
