Requirements

Currently enrolled in a master's programme in computer science, biomedical engineering or a related field
Experience in object-oriented programming (C++/Java, etc.) and a strong interest in developing high-performance software
Background in computer vision, image processing and/or machine learning
Familiarity with medical imaging (CT, MRI) and segmentation techniques (a plus)
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Good communication and documentation skills in English

Responsibilities

Perform problem solving, identify potential solutions and evaluate them
Implement software components in C++/Qt on a Linux platform
Work in a multidisciplinary team of software engineers and domain experts
Evaluate the performance of developed algorithms using appropriate metrics
Play an active role in the development of next-generation orthopedic surgical systems that improve patient outcomes and save lives
Document and present research findings, algorithms and results in reports
