Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a master's programme in computer science, biomedical engineering or a related field
  • Experience in object-oriented programming (C++/Java, etc.) and a strong interest in developing high-performance software
  • Background in computer vision, image processing and/or machine learning
  • Familiarity with medical imaging (CT, MRI) and segmentation techniques (a plus)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Good communication and documentation skills in English

Responsibilities

  • Perform problem solving, identify potential solutions and evaluate them
  • Implement software components in C++/Qt on a Linux platform
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team of software engineers and domain experts
  • Evaluate the performance of developed algorithms using appropriate metrics
  • Play an active role in the development of next-generation orthopedic surgical systems that improve patient outcomes and save lives
  • Document and present research findings, algorithms and results in reports
