Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Management of Information Systems or related majors (e.g., Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Accounting, Finance) with IT concentrations
  • Ability to work 32-40 hours/week for the duration of the internship (May 18th, 2026 – August 7th, 2026) with at least two days onsite/week in Tampa, FL office
  • Currently enrolled in a program of study at an accredited college/university
  • Within reasonable commuting distance from Tampa, FL (unless accommodation granted as required by law)

Responsibilities

  • Support the Internal Audit team in performing IT and operational audits evaluating internal and external standards of performance
  • Research and provide support for IT audits, including industry research and planning for important and/or emerging technology risks (e.g., AI, cloud, cybersecurity)
  • Learn and document technical processes using narratives and visuals
  • Interact with IT professionals across domains by assisting with developing, monitoring, and tracking material request lists or other audit support
  • Contribute to and document planning and process walkthrough meetings
  • Assist with evaluating the design of processes or controls to protect the Company from significant risks, along with detailed control testing
  • Summarize audit results for key stakeholders, including senior leadership, and recommend improvements in processes, policies, and procedures
  • Experience and learn about the healthcare industry, IT disciplines, and the Internal Audit profession
