Requirements

Clear working knowledge of non-financial risks and regulatory processes and expected controls (e.g., Consumer Protection & Conduct, Outsourcing & Third Party Management, Risk Management, Governance, and Regulatory Reporting), with experience working in or auditing these areas
Proven experience in risk, control, or assurance roles
Working knowledge of global regulatory frameworks relevant to payments, fintech, and/or broader financial services firms (e.g., Consumer Protection & Conduct, Outsourcing & Third Party Management, Risk Management, Governance, and Regulatory Reporting)
Experience working in technology, fintech, or broader financial services industries
Ability to work independently, assume responsibility, and make judgments with minimal guidance
Strong coordination skills to manage teams, hold accountable for deadlines, and deliver high-quality outputs
Agile and adaptable to change
Proficiency in using data analytics and technology in work and decision-making
Strong attention to detail, with ability to summarize key messages succinctly in verbal and written communication, adjusting style for the audience
Curiosity and skill in asking insightful questions to identify real issues and deliver outcomes
Passion for driving change

Responsibilities

Support the implementation and operation of the internal audit assurance framework, including development of continuous monitoring and automated audit routines
Support development of the annual audit plan for the non-financial Risk & Regulatory domain, including the audit universe, risk assessment processes, and budgeting
Deliver audits per the audit plan to ensure timely and relevant outcomes
Coordinate and execute internal audits, managing teams and collaborating internally and externally with partnering firms
Make recommendations to improve governance, risk management, and internal controls
Support building and developing a strong, self-sufficient internal audit team
Monitor implementation of Internal Audit recommendations and measure effectiveness of improvements
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally
Plan, execute, and report internal audits across a range of business areas
Travel as needed to meet objectives (role is London-based with teams in various locations)
