  • Knowledge of legal/regulatory and litigation/procedural requirements for marine claims

Responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of Motor Truck Cargo, Vehicle Physical Damage, Car Hauler Liability, Commercial Property, Contractors Equipment, and Warehouse Legal Liability claims
  • Investigate complex claims using a proactive, best practice approach in line with AIG's quality standards
  • Actively promote and demonstrate the principles of ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ in claims handling
  • Proactively identify and review suspect/fraudulent claims on a consistent basis, dealing with them in line with guidelines
  • Maintain regular contact with internal stakeholders, brokers, (medical) experts, clients’ lawyers, victims or their legal representatives
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external customers, acting as a point of referral
  • Provide support to Team Managers and deputize in their absence (e.g., assist with monitoring market/industry practices in claims handling)
  • Use claims experience to help improve products in collaboration with underwriting colleagues
