Requirements

Candidates must possess a TS/SCI clearance and at least eight years of experience in cybersecurity, with extensive knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks such as RMF, NIST 800-53, CNSS, and FISMA. They should have hands-on experience with vulnerability assessment and configuration tools like Nessus and ACSA, as well as Splunk, and familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell and Python. Furthermore, experience supporting audits and ATO processes within a federal environment is required, along with knowledge of endpoint protection, antivirus solutions, and log management tools.

Responsibilities

The Information System Security Officer (ISSO) will serve as a principal cybersecurity advisor, supporting the lifecycle of system authorization under the Risk Management Framework (RMF), conducting vulnerability assessments, monitoring and analyzing logs and configurations, implementing and assessing security controls in cloud environments, overseeing incident response and reporting, drafting and maintaining security documentation, providing audit support, performing access control and account management duties, advising development and operations teams on security best practices, managing and maintaining cloud-native and third-party security tools, and contributing to change management processes and agile development practices.
