Requirements

Graduated as chemical or environmental engineer (BSc or MSc)
Prior experience in similar role is an advantage
Fluent English and Hungarian language skills in written and oral
Strong leadership and excellent communication skills
Good problem-solving skills, systematic approach, process orientation, analytical thinking, initiative mindset, flexibility
Ability to work in a team and independently
Open and motivated to acquire new knowledge as an engineer and manager
Professional level use of Microsoft Office tools

Responsibilities

Identify, evaluate, prevent, and protect against hazards like fires, explosions, and chemical releases through systematic risk assessment (Process Safety Study)
Manage operations and Process Safety consultants to ensure accuracy, completeness of studies, and timely implementation of recommendations in compliance with company and legal requirements
Evaluate hazards and specify prevention measures for processes, utilities, chemicals, and equipment changes
Provide process safety input for projects, risk assessments, and serve as a member of the site management of change team
Specify necessary safety devices for inclusion in Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and the inspection schedule
Complete audits and maintain Basic Process Safety Reviews and safety studies
Train staff on fire, explosion, and chemical safety concepts, and lead investigations of related incidents
Monitor compliance with changing Process Safety legal requirements and oversee the safety device testing and inspection schedule
