Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, technical school experience
Prior experience operating a variety of heavy equipment
Must hold a currently valid CDL License
Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Excellent communication, organization and people skills, with proven success working in team environments
Must be able to work with limited supervision
Commitment to safety and keeping the work area neat and clean
Reliable transportation
Ability to work in ever-changing work environments, including variable weather conditions

Responsibilities

Preparing and operating heavy equipment (e.g., trac hoe, trac loader, backhoe, rollers) in compliance with the company’s operating safety policies and procedures, to ensure the appropriate movement of materials
Drive company dump truck on an as-needed basis, including pulling trailers to move equipment and materials
Detect and report problems with heavy equipment
Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environmental performance
Load and unload equipment and materials from vehicles and trailers
Ensure company equipment, material and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner; collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse
Complete any required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation
When not operating heavy equipment, assist other Warfel employees in the performance of their duties, including performing general labor duties such as landscaping, patch paving, pipe-laying, demolition, or any other excavating or concrete tasks
Strict adherence to all Warfel safety rules and regulations, including any site-specific necessities
