Requirements

Candidates should possess 7+ years of experience in government relations, regulatory strategy, or public policy, with a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, law, or public policy. Proven experience working directly with regulators, policymakers, or government agencies is required, along with strong knowledge of U.S. laws, regulations, and crypto policy dynamics. A deep understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and their regulatory implications is essential, and experience in blockchain, crypto, or financial services is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical, research, and communication skills, and the ability to translate complex concepts into policy recommendations and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

The Government Relations Officer will lead Injective's advocacy efforts with U.S. federal and state governments, engaging with policymakers and regulatory bodies to advance business goals. Responsibilities include educating regulators on decentralized finance and Injective's infrastructure through various communication materials, and positioning Injective as a thought leader. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with government agencies and industry stakeholders, representing Injective in meetings and public forums, and monitoring legislative developments. Key duties also include leading policy advocacy, developing and communicating Injective's positions on regulatory proposals, managing external lobbying and legal advisors, and participating in responses to regulatory consultations. Additionally, the role supports the strategy for securing crypto-related licenses, ensures alignment with applicable laws in collaboration with the Legal team, and advises the executive team on emerging regulatory risks and opportunities.
