Requirements

Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
Hands-on troubleshooting and fault isolation of IT business systems
Strong understanding of the OSI model and configuration of routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, BGP, and LDP
Ability to work a shift schedule including weekends, holidays, and night shift (6pm-6am, 4 days per week; new candidates start on day shift for 6-8 weeks training)
Minimum 12 years of applicable experience (e.g., High School + 12 years, Associate’s + 10 years, Bachelor’s + 8 years, Master’s + 6 years, PhD + 2 years)
Office presence 5 days per week at customer's site

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 2 support to LAN, WAN, customer networks, Intranet, Internet, and other data communications systems or network segments
Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
Review user requests for network upgrades or additions, assess impact on network performance, and provide advice on practical technical approaches
Apply software, hardware, and IT skills in analysis, specification, development, integration, and acquisition of open systems for Information Management (IM) applications
Ensure systems and applications comply with open systems architectures, reference models (e.g., IEEE OSE), and standards across application platforms, APIs, and external environments
Evaluate and recommend COTS applications and methodologies for interoperable, portable, and scalable IT solutions
Perform analysis and validation of reusable software and hardware components for integration into interoperable IM designs
