Systems Engineer - Mission Definition
Reliable Robotics- Full Time
- Senior (5 to 8 years)
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and have a minimum of 3 years of experience in GNC system design and development. Proficiency in simulation or software development tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C++, or Rust is required, along with a strong foundation in control theory, Kalman filtering, and state estimation.
The GNC Engineer will design, simulate, and implement GNC algorithms for various defense systems. They will develop mathematical models and conduct simulations to test and validate GNC algorithms under realistic conditions. The role involves collaborating with hardware and software engineers to integrate GNC systems into prototypes and participating in flight tests for data collection and system validation. Additionally, the engineer will analyze flight test and simulation data to assess system performance and recommend adjustments to GNC algorithms. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of the GNC system within the overall product architecture and maintain comprehensive records of GNC designs, algorithms, and test results for internal review and regulatory compliance. Quality assurance of all GNC-related activities to meet industry and defense standards for safety and performance is also a key responsibility.
